Discussion: This day was part of chasecation and expectations were not high for the day. I left home that morning for Forman, ND to setup for potential supercells later that afternoon. While on my way to the target, the SPC increased tornado probabilities across southeast North Dakota which gave me hope for the day. After hours of waiting at my initial target, I intercepted a storm near Oakes, North Dakota that had mean outflow winds and great structure. The rest of the chase gave me the opportunity to find objects in the foreground for good storm photography. I headed for my hotel and got supper before the second line of severe storms moved through. Roughly an hour later and I got back into my vehicle to head south of my hotel to close in on a tornado warned supercell that produced a brief tornado about 8:45 PM. After that, I blasted through heavy rain and marble size hail back to the hotel for the night.
